Includes a full walkthrough: 6 heroines x 18 jobs and skills, 16 endings, the affix master table, and all 11 dungeon floors.
From ぺぺろんちーの, the circle behind the Goblin Nest series, comes a brand-new title: To the Wives Who Were Heroes (かつて勇者だった妻達へ). Its Steam page is already up, but the Steam release is not due until late 2026 — so for anyone who does not want to wait, the uncensored Traditional Chinese edition drops first on the 072 Project platform on June 17, bundling both of the original DLCs (「かつて姫君だった女王へ」 and 「かつて将軍だった魔王へ」). The setting also ties into the Goblin Nest and Adventurer’s Inn series, so longtime fans will spot a few familiar faces.
Story: Ten Years of Peace, the Hero Gone, the Wives Take Up Arms Again
Ten years after the Demon Lord fell, the world is at peace and the old hero’s party have each settled into family life. Then the fortune-teller Leon glimpses an omen of a new Demon Lord, forcing him to reassemble these former companions — now all married wives. The catch: the Hero herself lies long dead, and a decade of rust has left the rest far weaker than before. As they are now, the new Demon Lord lurking deep in the dungeon is all but unbeatable.
Omen of the new Demon Lord
Their one bargaining chip is the forbidden art Leon learned in seclusion — “Spirit Possession.” This possession magic massively boosts the recipient’s combat power, but at a steep price: after each casting, that night demands a forbidden “Ritual” with the possessed companion. “Pure love or carnal desire — whichever we choose, we can never go back to how things were.”

Gameplay: 10-Floor 3D Dungeon × Random Enchants × Free Class-Change
The backbone is a 10-floor 3D dungeon crawl: you lead Leon and four wife-heroes down floor by floor, clearing each floor’s boss to descend. The juiciest progression is the random-enchant (MOD) gear — each weapon can carry up to 6 random effects, and a high-quality drop can flip your power level, making gear gambling deeply satisfying. The class system is generous too: changing class resets level but keeps all stats, a new skill unlocks every 5 levels, and abilities across classes mix freely with virtually no loss.

Exploration is well-cushioned: tap space to auto-walk and fill in the map, or click a target tile to auto-path there. As for difficulty, the devs suggest Easy for a first run — HP never hits zero in battle, so you can enjoy the story and adult content stress-free; Normal is tougher and is required to unlock the hidden Good End, so clear an Easy loop and power up first.
3D dungeon battle screen
Core Adult System: The “Ritual” Branch as Spirit-Possession’s Price
The adult content is driven by the “Ritual” that pays the cost of Spirit Possession. After each casting and dungeon run, you choose a “Pure-Love Ritual” or “Carnal Ritual” for the target; by the 3rd choice the route locks in, leading to wholly different conclusions. On the pure-love path, the four wives and Leon gradually grow real feelings through these forbidden nights, with promises, guilt and attachment all intertwined. On the carnal path, the price of the magic keeps developing their senses — from reluctant acceptance to active dependence — with nuanced, layered shifts in mindset, and later even partners other than the protagonist appear, stirring up messier entanglements.
A daily scene of the wife heroesRitual event scene
Every adult scene is fully voiced, with a cast including Haruru Akiyama (Sayuki), Yui Torino (Ri), Amu Mochinashi (Kira) and Kazari Hanaki (Grace). Fully explicit CG is tucked behind an 18+ block — confirm your age to unfold it.

Endings & Volume: 16 Endings, ~15+ Hours for a Full Clear
To the Wives Who Were Heroes packs 16 endings — per-character Pure-Love Ends, Carnal Ends, a Pure-Love Harem End, a Carnal Bad End, a Normal End, and a hidden Good End reachable only by clearing on Normal difficulty without using Spirit Possession. A full clear is estimated at 15+ hours, so there is plenty here. This uncensored Chinese edition already includes the main game plus DLC1 (adds Queen Olivia) and DLC2 (adds Demon Lord Velis) — no separate DLC purchase needed; buy in and get the complete content.

2. Events & Trigger Conditions
Each heroine has 34 events: Love Rituals 1–10, Love (in-dungeon) 1–3, Lust Rituals 1–10, Lust (in-dungeon) 1–3, an Apology event, Trigger events 1–4, and Job-change events 1–3, plus 15 shared events. The number of rituals you can perform is gated by the deepest floor reached:

Possession Arts (Spirit Forms)
Each floor deeper teaches a new Possession Art (7 total, one per deadly sin), activated in battle by spending Possession Energy. All forms grant bonus EXP — but using any Possession Art that run makes the GOOD END unattainable.

4. Crafting / Affix System
Each weapon has 6 affix slots, split into upper (0-2) / lower (3-5); each craft rerolls one half.
Both halves draw from the same pool — no “upper/lower exclusive” affixes; restrictions come from weapon type (weight 0 = cannot appear on that weapon).
Tier is random from 0 up to weapon level and only affects the value. Crafting has no cap; cost rises each time.
5. Affix Master Table
Values are per Tier; the right side is each weapon’s spawn weight (standard 20, — = cannot appear). Long table — click to expand:
