Operation Darkside DX (聖核戦姫壊滅作戦) is a turn-based strategy RPG built around capturing and raising enemy heroines. You play as a member of the Foundation, the faction locked in conflict with the Holy Core Battlemaidens, fielding low-tier troops (Combatants, TentacleMen, clones) to fight through each chapter, defeat and capture the enemy transforming heroines, and bring them back to base. There you pour Research Points into breaking them down and rebuilding them as your own fighting force, unlocking their exclusive “Holy Core” equipment along the way, all in pursuit of total conquest. This is a complete combat-and-training walkthrough covering system mechanics, the resource/research economy, the story flow and boss fights, the character compendium, the full skill list, equipment and items, and enemy stats
Game Overview
The core loop of Operation Darkside DX is: pick a stage on the world map → turn-based battle → capture the boss → train her back at base → grow stronger → move to the next chapter. Combat is entirely turn-based, and there is no dungeon exploration, the game revolves around squad formation and post-capture training and research. Beyond the base game, there’s also a DLC (a second world map) that adds new stages and a new Battlemaiden
System Mechanics Overview
Turn-Based Combat
Turn order is determined by Speed (SPD). Each character can perform a normal attack, use a skill that costs SP, use an item, or stand by. Some skills are AOE, self-targeting, or gated behind specific conditions (level or Estrus state). Making good use of Buffs/Debuffs (ATK down, DEF down, SPD down, stun, damage-over-time) can swing a fight decisively in your favor
Formation and Standby Recovery
You can arrange your squad’s battle formation. Certain gear lets a character recover HP/SP while on standby (such as the Fluffy Cushion), rotating characters through standby is an effective way to sustain your team in long fights
Leveling Up
Characters can spend resources to level up, raising their stats. Leveling costs increase with each level (see the character compendium below for each character’s base cost and per-level increase). Growth rates (HP/ATK/DEF/SPD gained per level) vary by character, and high-growth characters pull noticeably ahead in the late game
Efficient Farming
When grinding for money, Research Points, or experience, Nayuta Yagumo is recommended as your main damage dealer: activate Thunder God’s Form (ATK +70%, can be toggled anytime at no cost to your turn), then unload with Fatal Slash (the lower her HP, the higher the damage, and the damage dealt heals her back) for maximum output efficiency. Clear Mind (ATK +150%) stacks, so against high-HP targets you can spend a few turns stacking it before unleashing everything at once. Always confirm Thunder God’s Form is active before attacking, it will typically one-shot trash mobs. Just remember Thunder God’s Form drains 30 HP per turn on its own; keep sustain up through Fatal Slash’s lifesteal or ally healing
Economy and Research Points
The game has two resources:
| Resource | Use |
|---|---|
| Money | Spent at the Black Market on consumable items and rare equipment (see the equipment/items chapter for prices); leveling up Battlemaidens also costs money. |
| Research Points | Invested in the training/research panel at your base to advance the research progress of captured Battlemaidens. |
Training Panel: Choosing a Training Method (Post-Capture)
| Training Method | Result |
|---|---|
| Lewd Training | Advances “Lewdification” progress, unlocking Estrus-related combat states/passives. |
| Education Training (brainwashing) | Advances brainwashing/education progress, changing the character’s Mood so she becomes obedient and willing to fight for you. |
| Holy Core Research | Researches her Holy Core, unlocking that character’s exclusive Holy Core equipment (a powerful passive, see the equipment chapter). |
It’s recommended to push Education Training to the threshold needed for a character to join your active roster first, then invest in Holy Core Research to unlock her Holy Core equipment as needed. Mood shifts along the Education Training progress track, moving from “Rebel/Contempt/Despair” states toward “Submissive/Loyal/Deprave” states. Note that the DLC character Diamond only becomes available after “Education Training” is complete
Story
The Foundation, an evil organization long at war with the Holy Core Battlemaidens, now in decline, is the side you play as. As “Doctor,” you command Combatants, clones engineered from Rikka Minase’s genetic material, and TentacleMen, defeating and capturing the Holy Core Battlemaidens one by one, then bringing them back to base to break them down with Research Points and turn them, one after another, into your own fighting force
The story opens with rookie Battlemaiden Akiho Sasaya: the Foundation sets a cruel trap, luring the isolated Akiho into a sealed room and taking her captive. Her partner, Rikka Minase, rushes to save her, only to be seduced and captured by an already-fallen Akiho. The incident draws the attention of the Holy Core Corps; the vice-commander, Elena Seidou, heiress of the Seidou Group, steps in personally, but she too is brought down, blackmailed and drugged into defeat by the Foundation. Next, the genius hacker Battlemaiden Kei Nekomiya makes her move, deliberately allowing herself to be captured with a tracking device hidden inside her, using herself as bait to lure in the strongest Battlemaiden and commander-in-chief, Nayuta Yagumo, straight into the heart of the Foundation’s base. Nayuta briefly seizes control of the battle, but in the final showdown she runs into Elena, already “educated” into corruption by the Foundation and now turned against her, and, weakened by the backlash of her own Thunder God’s Form, is ultimately overpowered and captured
Having lost its two pillars, the Holy Core Corps collapses. A month later, Akiho, Kei, Nayuta, and Elena, now all Foundation enforcers, sweep the world, hunting down and capturing the remaining rank-and-file Battlemaidens. Once every last Holy Core Battlemaiden has been captured and stripped of her fighting strength, “Operation Darkside” is declared complete, and the Foundation claims total victory. (The full appearances and captures of Diamond, Hisui, and other characters are covered in the DLC content)
Story Progression & Boss Guide
Capture order (by starting level): Akiho Lv8 → Rikka Lv10 → Elena Lv12 → Kei Lv13 → Nayuta Lv15. Each chapter’s final boss is that chapter’s target Battlemaiden
Prologue / Tutorial
Goal: Get familiar with turn-based combat, formation (front/back row), SP and skills, and how to use the training/research panel. Fight with basic Foundation troops and follow the prompts, there’s no need to worry about losing here
Chapter 1: Akiho Sasaya
Goal: The Foundation targets its first Holy Core Battlemaiden, “Akiho Sasaya.” Push through the stage, clearing trash mobs (Patrol Drones/Patrol Androids), then face and capture Akiho at the chapter’s end. Her attack is low and her defense is thin, so basic attacks and focus fire will take her down quickly. Once captured, she becomes your healer, providing group healing via her Milk Supply skill
Chapter 2: Rikka Minase
Goal: Turn your attention to the high-speed physical fighter “Rikka Minase.” She’s fast and can act multiple times per turn, so watch out for her going first. Prioritize slowing her down or focus-firing her, and lean on Akiho’s healing to keep your team standing. Once captured, Rikka becomes a fast, multi-hit physical attacker (Combo Attack / Straight Punch / Overdrive)
Chapter 3: Elena Seidou
Goal: “Elena Seidou” is an extremely tanky defensive type (600 HP). A straight slugfest takes a while, so bring DEF-down and damage-over-time effects to wear her down gradually. Once captured, she becomes your key shield unit, her Immortal Protection lets the whole team negate one instance of damage, which is essential for the fight against Nayuta later on
Chapter 4: Kei Nekomiya
Goal: “Kei Nekomiya” is a high-ATK, high-SP mechanical hacker type (ATK 120, SP 200). She can hack and control mechanical enemies, and her own damage output is high too. It’s best to slow her down first or use Elena’s shield to absorb her burst. Once captured, Kei can use Hacking to control mechanical enemies and Self-Destruct Command to make puppets blow themselves up, making her extremely strong against mechanical-enemy stages
Chapter 5: Nayuta Yagumo (Final Showdown)
Goal: The final battle against the strongest Battlemaiden and commander-in-chief, “Nayuta Yagumo.” Her attack power reaches a staggering 99999, effectively a one-hit kill, so tanking it is not an option; you have to work around it mechanically. Core strategy: the moment the fight starts, use Elena’s Immortal Protection (negates one hit of damage for the whole team) or Immovable Aura/Energy Shield to cancel out her attack that turn, then go all-in during her recovery/cooldown windows, chipping away at her 1200 HP turn by turn until she’s down. Defeating her captures Nayuta, and the main story heads into its final stretch
Final Chapter: Operation Darkside
Goal: The main story’s finale. Using your squad of trained, fallen Battlemaidens, you fight through a rotating gauntlet of generic Holy Core Battlemaidens at various levels across the world. This chapter has no designated boss, every opponent is a generic Battlemaiden of some level. Stock up on healing and you’ll close it out without much trouble. Once every last one is defeated, the system declares the Holy Core Battlemaidens fully wiped out, triggering the complete-conquest ending. (Diamond, Hisui, and other characters’ full appearances and captures are part of the DLC content)
DLC (Second World Map)
The DLC adds 8 stages, with a story centered on hunting down escapees, introducing two new Battlemaidens: Diamond and Hisui Saionji. In the DLC, Kei becomes a playable unit (some stages limit which characters/how many can be deployed). The DLC lets you additionally capture Diamond, and it’s also where Hisui makes her full appearance
| DLC Stage | Content |
|---|---|
| DLC-1 Prologue / DLC-2 The Final Operation | Two targets have escaped (Hisui and a low-ranking Combatant). The Foundation can only spare 2 people for the search. |
| DLC-3 Infiltration Success / DLC-4 An Old Acquaintance | Infiltrate and make contact with an old acquaintance to track down the escapees. |
| DLC-5 Diamond | Introduces the pet-type Battlemaiden “Diamond,” Lv30, HP650, ATK325, high Speed (30). Both her attack and speed are high, so it’s best to lock her down (stun/slow) before finishing her off quickly. |
| DLC-6 Secret Weapon / DLC-7 Kei’s Plan | Kei’s operation plan moves forward (Kei is playable during the DLC). |
| DLC-8 Rebellion | The final target, “Hisui Saionji,” Lv40. She has two forms: her normal form (HP700) and her giant/berserk form (HP8500, ATK150). A long fight, stock up on healing and shields and take it steady. |

Overall Review / Impressions
A tight, well-crafted turn-based training RPG: the combat system is straightforward, the training loop is memorable, and the value for money is solid, even if the overall depth is fairly standard. For fast farming, lock in on Nayuta Yagumo’s Thunder God’s Form + Fatal Slash burst combo; for the Nayuta showdown itself, use Elena’s shield mechanics to neutralize her one-hit-kill attack
