Remember the Easter egg we cracked in the spirit-world hospital near the end of Sex, Secrets & Used Tech?
One look at this steamy game and we were already curious. Three months have flown by since then and launch keeps getting closer, so let's get an early look at what it's shaping up to be.
How to Train Your Spirit: The Exorcism of a Busty Ghost is an adult training RPG where you spend your days preparing and your nights purifying a busty earthbound ghost. Developer WorkNite Games and publisher Eternal Alice Media just dropped a new anime trailer that takes you inside the creepy Edo-period estate she haunts. It's due on Steam in Q4 2026.
The full version of the theme song, 徒花の少女, is out too. The game is also confirmed for Steam Next Fest in October 2026, and a demo is coming soon.
Anime Trailer: The Last Onmyoji Takes a Strange Job
The trailer follows 安倍晴真, the last Onmyoji, on an odd exorcism job. Inside the gloomy estate he finds a vengeful ghost, and nobody knows who she was.
She's an earthbound spirit and she doesn't trust visitors, so this won't be a simple exorcism.
Inside the Haunted Estate
The game is set in Edo-period Japan, and you play 安倍晴真 yourself. The ghost waiting deep inside the manor is Hitomi. You won't face her alone, though. Two shikigami who could not be more different, 狐乃葉 and 雛鶴, explore the estate with you.
You explore, interact with Hitomi and train her to wear down her defenses bit by bit. Each step purifies her a little more and brings you closer to the truth behind her grudge.
Trailer still: 安倍晴真 and his shikigami head into the estate
Keep at it and you'll start to see that she has a past nobody knows about. There may also be more to why she became an earthbound spirit in the first place.
Prep by Day, Train Her by Night
Days are yours to plan. Buy spirit tools and ritual items, practice spells and martial arts, or spend time with Hitomi. Training makes you stronger, and time with her brings you closer.
At night, everything you built up goes into the purification ritual. Use your spells, tools and martial arts to train her your own way. As purification moves along, you unlock more interactions and gameplay, and learn more of what Hitomi is hiding.
There's time and resource management on top of that. Plan each day, pick how 安倍晴真 practices and which tools to buy, and work your way up to stronger training methods. The choices you make steer the story toward one of several distinct endings.

Full Theme Song 徒花の少女 Is Out
徒花の少女 is the game's theme song, and the full version is out now as an EP.
The track was written by music producer Ivy Lin and performed by popular Japanese cover singer 黒兎ウル. It's a Japanese-style song, eerie and sad, which fits a ghost story like this one.
It's rolling out to Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Deezer, Tidal and Amazon Music, so give it a listen if you want a taste of the mood before launch.
Coming to Steam in Q4 2026, Next Fest in October
The game is set for a Q4 2026 release on Steam and will take part in Steam Next Fest in October 2026. A demo is coming soon.
