Mirage Rebellion, a double NTR exploration RPG from Japanese doujin circle ちまラボ, now has a live Steam store page, with localization handled by 072 Project and publishing by Oπ. The game has already been selling on DLsite, where it has passed 18,000 copies and holds a 4.63★ rating, putting it among the better-reviewed doujin NTR RPGs of recent years.

Twenty-One Days Left to Defend the Treasure, and the Enemy Is Already Inside

The world sits in a tense ceasefire between humans and demons, with three-tenths of its territory still under demon control. Leo, the protagonist, is appointed by royal command to lead the Sacred Treasure Defense Line and guard a relic the Demon Lord’s army has wanted for a long time. With twenty-one days left on the defense period, monsters start breaking into the manor one incident after another. Luna, his loyal servant, traces the leads to three recruits who joined the defense force only a month earlier, and the gifted mage Kurone stands out as the most suspicious of them.

The real threat is not a single one. The demons send in two spies whose positions and methods have nothing in common, moving on Leo and Luna at the same time and prying apart the bond between master and servant step by step.

Two NTR Routes Running at Once, One Trap for Each of Them

The defining design here is the double NTR structure: Leo and Luna each become the target of a different pursuer, and both corruption routes advance in parallel.

Kurone behaves suspiciously from the day she joins. She invites Leo to late-night meetings on a regular basis and uses physical seduction to draw information about the treasure out of him, wearing down his guard one encounter at a time.

Luna’s route works differently. Something approaches her wearing the face of goodwill, then quietly binds her under a contract that shackles the mind, eroding her spirit and pulling her away from Leo little by little. Kodori, the younger-sister-type secondary heroine in the defense unit, is caught up in it as well, and her adult scenes can be unlocked over the course of the story.

As the days advance, the Two Hearts status panel lets you watch how Leo and Luna feel in real time, and see the bond between master and servant drain away.

Zero Combat, Pure Event Exploration, and an ADV Pace That Is Easy to Pick Up

The game runs on pure event exploration with no combat at all, controlled much like an ADV, and the next objective sits in the upper left of the screen at all times so getting lost is close to impossible. Mana resupply is the standout mechanic: Leo’s MP does not regenerate on its own and has to be topped up by hand through Luna’s mana supply, which works more efficiently when she is aroused. The intimate interactions between master and servant grow out of that system.

Shared Setting With the Circle’s Previous Title

Mirage Rebellion takes place in the same world as クリプトの引き裂き, the circle’s earlier release, and players who know that game will spot its heroine again in this story. The link between the two adds another layer to the plot and gives returning fans more to react to, though the game stands completely on its own if you have never touched the earlier title.
