《Desert Island Debauchery: Stranded Broads and Underhanded Plots》Game Review & Walkthrough -【DLSITE】

by 特約編輯

Hey everyone, today I’m introducing “Desert Island Debauchery: Stranded Broads and Underhanded Plots”, an adult deserted island survival + harem game developed by the circle “やさにき ” and currently on sale on DLsite for 2,200 yen.One thing worth calling out is that this is the same dev team behind the popular title “My Neighbor’s Lonely Wife 2”, so the overall quality is pretty much a safe bet. While there’s no official English version available at the moment, if you’re already a fan of this circle’s work—or you’re into the whole stranded-on-an-island harem survival setup—this is easily a game I’d recommend giving a shot.

Key Features

  1. Fully mouse-driven gameplay — everything can be played with just the mouse, nice and smooth.
  2. Harem-focused design — this is very much a harem game at its core, no beating around the bush.
  3. Individual story routes for each heroine, plus multi-character scenes that mix things up.
  4. Actions have real consequences — in more ways than one, this is the kind of game where people can actually die if you mess up.
  5. Thorough tutorials and plenty of hidden events for players who like to explore and dig deeper.

A Dream Deserted Island Harem Life

Story Background

You’re just a regular office worker. Like most people, you clock in every day and do your job properly, but the pay is stuck in that awkward middle zone—enough to survive, sure, but not exactly the kind of life that feels like it’s going anywhere. You can’t help but wonder how long this routine is supposed to last.

One day, for reasons no one can quite explain, upper management suddenly has a change of heart and decides to treat the entire company to an overseas trip. Naturally, you and your coworkers lose your minds—in a good way—ready to finally kick back and enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime vacation.

And then the cruise ship you’re on sinks.

When Disaster Strikes Without Warning

Although you survive, unfortunately, the island you drift ashore on is a completely deserted one.

Luckily, the people who end up stranded on the island with you just happen to be the three biggest beauties in your company: the cool and dependable senior Akemi, the bright and cheerful junior Yumeno, and the gentle, graceful, and beautiful married woman Shizuha.

Is there really a deal this good?!

As the only man on the island, how will you manage to survive here—and how will you get along with the three beautiful women?

Game Objectives

Beyond simply figuring out how to survive on the deserted island and building relationships with the heroines, the game’s main goal is deciding what kind of ending you want: find a way to escape the island and return to civilization, or choose to stay behind and live out the rest of your life there. In the end, the choice is entirely up to the player.

Once the game reaches a certain point, you’ll be forced to make a major decision.

Gameplay Flow

This title is an adventure simulation game built around a day, time, and stamina system. Players must control the protagonist to explore new areas, gather resources, and craft items, all while trying to survive and searching for a way to escape the island. And since this is an adult game, interactions and story events with the heroines are a big part of the experience as well—use your leadership and strategy to win the hearts of the women alongside you.

There are a total of seven major areas in the game for players to explore.

Game UI & Core Gameplay Overview

As mentioned earlier, since this game currently does not have an official English version, the author will do their best here to explain the more important interfaces and core mechanics one by one. Anything not covered will be supplemented later in the gameplay guide, with the goal of reducing potential friction or confusion during your playthrough.

Basic Game Interface

First up is the main cave interface, which is the starting screen each day and where most of the gameplay takes place.

At the top of the screen, from left to right, you’ll see: Date, Weather, Time of Day, Fullness, and Water Supply.

Date: There’s no strict limit on the number of days, but some events only trigger after certain conditions are met and a few days have passed.

Weather: Options include Sunny, Cloudy, Rainy, Heatwave, and Typhoon, each with different effects. More details will be covered in the gameplay guide later.

Time of Day: Divided into Day and Night. Only during the day can you go outside, and most actions consume time.

Fullness: As the name suggests, this is a shared value for all characters. If it drops to zero and is ignored for several days, the game will end.

Water Supply: Works like Fullness, but tracks hydration. If it reaches zero and is left unchecked, the game will also end after a few days.

One of the perks of rainy weather is that it’s easy on the eyes.

On the right side of the screen, from top to bottom, you have: Explore, Menu, Interact, Craft, Eat, Goals, and Sleep.

Most of these are in kanji, so players familiar with Chinese characters should be okay, but here’s a quick rundown of each option’s function:

Explore: Go out and explore. Can only be selected during the day, and your character needs enough stamina.

Menu: Check items, character status, relationships, and shared items. Details on character status and relationships will be covered later.

Interact: Adjust your relationships with the heroines.

Craft: Make tools, long-lasting food, various equipment, and upgrade items.

Eat: Have a meal. Once equipment is upgraded, you can eat more at once.

Goals: These aren’t the main game objectives; they let players accumulate achievements to earn points for new playthroughs.

Sleep: Rest to recover some character stats, and advance the date by one day.

The most important parts here are character status and relationships, which will be explained in detail later.

If you don’t manage relationships properly, things can get seriously messy.

At the bottom of the screen, from left to right, you have: Save, Load, Dialogue Log, Settings, Tutorial, BGM, and Return to Title.

These are all basic system functions, so they don’t need much explanation. However, if you run into trouble while playing, it’s worth checking out the tutorial. The dev team really put a lot of effort into this part—they even list the conditions for unlocking main story events, harem scenes, and individual heroine routes. It’s all in Japanese, but shouldn’t be too hard to follow. Later on, the author will also provide a simple reference table in the guide for convenience.

The author’s documentation basically covers everything except the hidden elements.

Next is character status, with a brief explanation of each stat and skill function:

Health: The character’s HP bar. If it hits zero overnight, the character dies. Can be restored by eating or sleeping.

Stamina: Used for exploring, crafting items, and operating equipment. Can be restored by eating or sleeping.

Immunity: Affects the chance of getting sick—the lower it is, the more likely the character will fall ill. Can be increased by eating.

Hygiene: Also affects the chance of getting sick (opposite direction from immunity). The lower it is, the worse it gets. Can be improved by bathing.

Libido: As the name suggests, if the male protagonist’s libido gets too high, it will need to be addressed at night, which reduces immunity. For the heroines, this stat is used to trigger adult events.

Stress: One of the stats that needs special attention, used only for the heroines, as the male protagonist doesn’t accumulate much.

If a heroine’s stress reaches the maximum and isn’t managed, she will disappear after a few days. Stress can be reduced through interaction, meals, and sex, with some additional methods available as well.

As the team leader, you need to pay close attention to each member’s physical and mental condition.

There may seem to be a lot of skills, but in reality, only a few are truly useful:

Tenacity: Increases health, stamina, and immunity.

Willpower: Raises the stress limit for heroines and the libido limit for the male protagonist.

Foraging: Improves the quality of food and materials you find while exploring.

Crafting: Increases the types of items you can make and the efficiency of crafting. Very important.

Carrying: Raises the maximum carry weight when exploring.

Fishing: Boosts fishing ability.

Hunting: Boosts hunting ability.

Combat: Improves attack, defense, and speed in battles. Reaching Lv5 unlocks extra skills, making this very important.

Sex Skills: For the male protagonist, higher levels improve efficiency in reducing heroines’ stress. For the heroines, higher levels reduce stamina consumption during sex with the male protagonist.

Detailed skill explanations will be provided later.

The Wolf Brothers are one of the biggest obstacles in your harem life.

Next is the main relationship screen, which can be roughly divided into: Discipline Level, Disorder Level, Male-to-Female Affection, and Female-to-Female Affection.

Discipline Level: Represents how open the characters are to sexual activity. The lower it is, the more open they are. This stat has a major impact on adult events, especially the harem routes, making it very important.

Disorder Level: Mainly used to lower the Discipline Level. Any sexual harassment or adult-related actions will increase this value.

Male-to-Female Affection: Used to trigger each heroine’s personal story. Unless you have no interest in a specific heroine’s route, raising this stat has no negative effect. It’s also required to lower the Discipline Level.

Female-to-Female Affection: In the early game, this stat only increases and doesn’t decrease. It begins to change after the Discipline Level drops and is tied to certain special endings.

To get closer with the heroines, you’ll need to raise their affection first.

Finally, here’s the exploration interface when you go out. The left side shows some basic stats, which we won’t go over again. The middle section contains the main exploration options, which vary slightly depending on the area, but are mostly similar across regions.

From top to bottom, the middle section includes: Explore Area, Gather Food, Gather Materials, Interact with Characters, and Retreat.

Explore Area: Consumes exploration points for the area. You’ll encounter random events, with a 50% chance to unlock special locations and 100% granting extra rewards when collecting in that area.

Gather Food: Divided into Foraging, Hunting, and Fishing, each type of food has its own characteristics and uses, which will be explained later.

Gather Materials: Divided into Wood & Stone and Herbs. Wood & Stone can be collected in three ways: by hand, with an axe, or with a pickaxe, each yielding slightly different materials, so it’s worth experimenting. Herbs are used to craft various medicines and some clothing.

Interact with Characters: Works the same as in the cave interface, but if two characters are out alone, you can sexually harass or request sexual actions. Apart from story event H scenes, most adult interactions happen here.

Retreat: Returns all collected materials to the cave. If any character’s stamina reaches zero during exploration, they are automatically forced to return.

When two characters go out together, you can request a heroine to help with libido—if the Discipline Level is low enough…?

On the right side, from top to bottom, you have: Wolf Attack Progress, Character Status, Inventory, Area Movement, and Use Tent.

Wolf Attack Progress: All actions during exploration, except adult ones, increase this progress. Once it’s full, wolves will appear and attack. Details on combat will be covered in the gameplay guide.

Character Status: Check stats that aren’t shown on the left side.

Inventory: Materials brought back to the cave cannot exceed the carry weight limit. If you go over, you’ll be prompted to organize your items.

Area Movement: Different spots exist within the same area. You can move between them directly without retreating.

Use Tent: Tents can be built in the mid to late game and placed in various areas. Besides allowing characters to rest during exploration, some H events and content can only be triggered if a tent is set up. If possible, make sure to build at least one!

There’s a lot more you can do inside a tent compared to the outdoors.

The above gives a brief overview of the game’s main interfaces and functions. While there are still many features that haven’t been covered, this should at least be enough for readers to play the game smoothly.

Gameplay Guide

Now we’ve reached the most crucial and complex section. While this game isn’t particularly difficult in terms of gameplay, the sheer number of features and some randomness can make it easy for players to spend a lot of time collecting or managing things. The author has tried to document some personal tips and points to watch out for, so you can play a bit more easily and avoid some common missteps.

Choosing a Game Mode

At the start of the game, you’ll be asked to choose between “Realistic Mode” or “Fictional Mode.” The difference is that in one mode, a character can actually die, while in the other, they cannot. The recommendation is to pick Realistic Mode: the game isn’t that hard, and some features and story events can only be experienced in this mode. Of course, the choice ultimately comes down to your personal preference.

A single slip-up can also lead to a BAD END.

Heroines’ Personal Storylines

Each heroine has five main events, and you need to complete all of them to reach her personal ending and allow her to become pregnant. While the conditions are hinted at in the tutorial, the author has created a simple table here for easy reference. Of course, the final content is always determined by the game itself.

Akemi

EventConditions
Story 1Affection 100+, during Sunny, Cloudy, or Heatwave weather, go out together and return

If you think you’ve met all the conditions but an event doesn’t trigger, make sure to check weather, time, or any abnormal character status. After completing an event, the system will also notify you when a heroine is ready to become pregnant.

After pregnancy, a heroine can no longer go out to explore, but there are additional H events available.

Allocating Character Skill Points

First, it’s worth noting each heroine’s specialty: Akemi is focused on Crafting, Yumeno on Carrying, and Shizuha on Sex Skills. That said, “specialty” just means their initial level starts one point higher than the others.

The most important skills in this game are Crafting and Combat. For Crafting, it’s enough for just one character to max it out. For Combat, try to raise it as high as possible for every character. Crafting is crucial because low levels prevent you from producing many essential tools and equipment. Combat is critical because if a character dies in battle, it’s permanent—so you can’t be careless.

If your Crafting level isn’t high enough, many important items simply can’t be made.

The author’s personal advice for other skills: each character should put at least one point into Tenacity—it lets them do more things. For Foraging and Carrying, pick one character to level them up, around Lv4–5 is enough; this makes collecting materials more efficient.

Fishing and Hunting are optional. But if you want hunting to be your main food source, unless you’re really confident with reaction timing, putting at least one point in is highly recommended. The author stubbornly skipped it at first, and the mini-game was insanely hard—adding just a little point made things a lot smoother.

The hunting mini-game tests the player’s reaction speed.

Relationships & Discipline Level

In this game, relationships—or affection—are one of the key stats for triggering events. As mentioned earlier, each heroine’s personal events are tied to affection, and the Discipline Level and harem routes are also affected by this stat.

Raising affection is simple: generally, just performing joint actions or talking to a character will naturally increase it. Some sexual harassment actions can reduce affection if it’s not high enough yet, but will increase it otherwise. If you don’t have a specific strategy in mind, it’s safe to raise it first.

Once affection is high enough, you can start getting a little naughty with the heroines.

As for relationships between the heroines, they generally only increase. They will start to decline only after the Discipline Level drops to 2, due to jealousy and competition for the protagonist’s attention. If it drops to a certain point, special events may trigger. While the game doesn’t include any overly gory or brutal content, the overall tone in these events is much darker and more tense compared to the main story and harem routes. Players who want to experience this should be mentally prepared.

The darker side of human nature is crueler than we imagine.

Besides being a requirement for unlocking the harem route, a low Discipline Level also allows heroines to wear more revealing outfits and even take nudist baths together. If you’re planning to pursue the harem route from the start, it’s best to lower this stat early on.

The Harem Bath Event—Everyone Enjoys the Fun

There are seven main exploration areas in the game. After reaching a certain point in the South Area during the beginner tutorial, the other areas will unlock for free exploration. Each area has unique resources and special locations.

While the author recommends just exploring freely for a more organic experience, for efficiency it’s suggested to focus on the South-West and North Areas first to unlock their special locations.

These two special locations are:

  • Hot Springs: Besides bathing to maintain hygiene, it restores stamina and lowers stress. Very useful, but can only be used once per day.

  • Shrine: Allows you to exchange materials for experience points to level up and allocate skill points. Using this wisely can help you level up quickly and improve exploration efficiency.

The most useful special location in the game is the hot springs.

Here’s a quick explanation of how to unlock special locations: once the exploration progress in a given area reaches 50% or more, the next time you explore that area, the related event will automatically trigger. Important: the weather must be either Sunny or Heatwave—otherwise, the special location won’t activate.

Weather Overview

As mentioned, special locations require Sunny or Heatwave conditions. Here’s a breakdown of the different weather types (also detailed in the in-game tutorial; the game’s info is final):

  • Sunny: The most basic weather; many events require it.

  • Cloudy: Consumes less water during exploration compared to sunny weather, but there’s a chance of rain.

  • Rainy: Water consumption is zero, but stamina drains faster. Long exposure can cause colds. You’ll also see the heroines’ clothes get wet, and some H events are tied to rainy weather. If you have the right equipment set up, rain automatically refills water reserves.

  • Heatwave: Increases water and stamina consumption during exploration; food also spoils more easily.

  • Typhoon: You cannot go out. Outdoor equipment is more likely to be damaged. The only upside is that rare items can be found on the beach within two days after the typhoon.

Combat Overview

Since the game has no strict time limit, combat serves as a key source of challenge and tension, making it an important part of gameplay.

The first battle occurs on Day 15 after drifting onto the island. Note that characters cannot participate without equipping a weapon, so make sure every character has a weapon before Day 15—otherwise, a Game Over right at the first battle would be awkward.

After the first battle, wolves will appear during exploration and regularly attack your base. They also grow stronger as days pass, so be sure to prepare accordingly.

A blood-covered wolf sure looks tough, doesn’t it!

In Realistic Mode, unless in special circumstances, if a character’s HP drops to zero in battle, they die permanently. While the game doesn’t require all characters to survive to progress, losing a character not only increases the game’s difficulty but also makes related events unavailable. So, it’s best to avoid deaths whenever possible.

Also, once your Combat skill reaches Lv5, remember to go to the character status screen and assign the skill—it can make a big difference in battles.

Food Overview

There are many types of food to collect and eat in the game. You can generally eat whatever you want, but each has slightly different effects. Here’s the author’s personal impression:

  • Wild plants & fruits: Restore smaller amounts of Satiety, HP, and Stamina, but boost Immunity more.

  • Meat: Restores large amounts of Satiety, HP, and Stamina, but barely affects Immunity. Eating only meat can make characters sick.

  • Fish: Provides high boosts to everything, but fishing consumes bait, and fish are heavy, which affects carry weight.

Fishing works basically the same as hunting, but you need fishing gear.

Also, each area has certain foods that are easier to collect. Once your exploration progress in that area reaches a certain threshold, the available items will be displayed in the area interface.

New Game+ Features & Review Function

This game doesn’t really hide special storylines that only appear in a second playthrough. Starting a New Game+ mainly gives some BONUSes to make gameplay easier or help trigger alternate endings. If you want to try different endings, it’s personally recommended to save multiple files during your first playthrough—that’s more practical.

The New Game+ BONUSES are based on the Achievement Points you collected in the previous run. You can spend these points in the next playthrough to enhance various elements, like carrying over items and skill levels, or boosting exploration and experience efficiency.

After finishing your first playthrough, you can choose which elements to enhance for the next run, though there are still some limits.

Also, the review feature for personal events and H scenes only unlocks on the title screen after completing at least one playthrough. So for first-time players, the goal should be to finish any ending first.

Personal Impressions

The author hasn’t played many deserted island survival games, but personally, the difficulty in this one feels pretty easy. While gathering materials can feel a bit grindy due to randomness, there’s no time limit—so repeating actions a few times is enough to get what you need. The death threshold for characters isn’t too punishing either, so even inexperienced players should be able to pick it up without much trouble.

In terms of character storylines, it was a bit different from what the author expected. The initial assumption was a story where men and women live together on a deserted island, and through accidents or unavoidable situations, erotic events happen, followed by emotional breakthroughs and eventual romance.

In reality, every heroine already has a significant level of affection toward the protagonist before arriving on the island. So the story doesn’t feature resistance or hesitation—characters fall for him quickly. Whether this style suits your taste is up to the player.

The junior is the one who’s the most head-over-heels for the protagonist.

In terms of H content, the game has a decent amount of CGs and events, though most scenes are single character sprites with variations, so overall it’s not especially polished. As for voice acting, even though the store page lists seiyuu, only key lines are voiced in-game. Players who care about this should keep it in mind.

The author personally really liked Shizuha’s CGs.

Overall, this is a lighthearted deserted island harem game with plenty of content. While the erotic CGs aren’t top-tier, the amount of story text for each character is solid. It’s recommended to check out the character bios and art on the store page first—if the designs catch your interest, this “
